Steph and Joel. 3.12.16Last weekend I had the great pleasure of photographing Steph and Joel's beautiful wedding day at the Publick House. With a March wedding in New England you never know if you're going to have a Nor'easter or a beautiful beach day. Thankfully for Steph and Joel, they had the latter, and I couldn't have been happier for them! Being a wedding photographer, I often form a strong bond with my couples as I'm with them for some of the happiest moments of their lives. With Steph and Joel, our bond started a little more than a year ago when Joel asked me to photograph the moment he (and his daughter Bayleigh) were going to propose to Steph! While I shoot many engagement sessions, I've never quite had an opportunity like this! To say the least I was thrilled, excited, nervous...probably feeling a lot of the things that Joel felt when he was about to pop the question! Steph's reaction to the proposal was priceless and the pure exuberance of that day is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Following the proposal, when Joel and Steph asked me to photograph their wedding day, I was elated that they were going to include me in the next biggest moments of their lives. I'm so happy that I was able to celebrate with them and photograph their big day, and the friendship that we have bonded is something that I know will last a long time! Congrats to Stephanie and Joel...and Bayleigh too on their beautiful wedding day!!
2015 Weddings In Review2015 is in the history books...well almost, I still have a NYE wedding! Here are my favorite photos from all of my weddings this past year. I hope you enjoy! Here's to a happy, healthy, and successful 2016!!
My Passion for PhotographyAs I was wrapping up a shoot this week, it got me thinking about how fortunate I am to have a passion with so much diversity. In the month of April 2015 alone I photographed weddings, rockstars, newborn babies, entertainment mogul and Red Sox Chairman Tom Werner, wild horses on the beach, dignitaries, my kids on vacation, etc! Obviously photography is my "job" (and I say that loosely because it rarely ever feels like one), but it is so much more than that for me. While not every shoot is commissioned (e.g. photographing my kids on vacation), I am so lucky to be able to do what I love! To have a passion where the possibilities and subject matter are endless is such an amazing feeling because it never gets boring. No matter what is in front of my lens, I always have a feeling of excitement and/or importance, and for that I could not be more thankful.
